Making the decision to take a year off was easy. Dealing with the way it grows increasingly real as the time approaches is difficult.
We closed on our house yesterday. It is sold, no longer ours. It's a relief, certainly, but at the same time it's hard to believe. It was our first house, bought shortly after we got married, and the longest I've ever lived in one place.
The good thing is we can finally stop cleaning the house every morning and revert to our slovenly ways.
